Mumbai, August 17, 2008: To celebrate the success of the Indian Team (Credit Suisse) that emerged victorious at the World Corporate Golf Challenge Finals in Spain last month, the organizers of TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge in India organized a felicitation ceremony at a posh restaurant in South Mumbai attended by who is who of the Mumbai golfing community who came in with friends and family to congratulate the winning team on their success at this prestigious international event.
Credit Suisse, winners of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge in India had by virtue of winning the National Finals in March early this year qualified to represent India at the World Finals held at the prestigious La Manga Club in Spain from July 1st to 3rd 2008. |
The four member Indian team from Credit Suisse, emerged victorious amongst a field of 30 participating corporate teams across the globe on the final day with a display of rare skill and tact in a course which is not known to be easy to golfers. This was for the first time an Indian team had won in the tournament since India started participating nine years ago.
The Indian team from Credit Suisse consisting of Puneet Matta, Srikant Nagraj, Shivas Nath, and Nohar Nath regulars at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club, fired a total of 238 points to win the tournament by 8 points from runners up Wales on 230 and another point ahead of 3rd placed Malaysia on 229.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Srinivasan HR., Vice Chairman and Vision Holder TAKE Solutions said, “We organized this informal get together to felicitate the team and also provide an opportunity for friends from the golfing community of Mumbai to join in the celebrations. It’s a special moment for all of us here associated with the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge in India as for the first time our national winners have clinched the title internationally. We hope more such laurels in the future”
