Bajaj Electricals & Spica Elastic Win Second Leg of TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge’09 – 10

Chennai, January 24, 2010 – After witnessing the successful first leg at Kodaikanal (December 29-30, 2009), the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge 2009-10 (TSWCGC) saw two more teams book a final berth after winning the second leg of the event which culminated at the Amby Valley Golf Resort in Lonavla on Sunday. The event was held over two days on January 23 – 24, 2010. The team comprising of Mr. R. Ramakrishnan and Mr. D.S. Benupani representing Bajaj Electricals were declared as winners on day one (January 23) and team from Barclays represented by Mr. Abhaya Gupta and Mr. S Krishnamurthy emerged runners up, while that of Mr. Manish Jaitha and Mr. Amish Jaitha representing Spica Elastic took the honours on day two (January 24) along with the runner-up team represented by Mr. Yohann Pedder and Mr. Sameet Sanghrajka from Dynamic Lifter Organic. The national finals will be held at Classic Golf Resort in March, 2010.

Organised in association with Indian Terrain, the Lonavla leg received an overwhelming response. Some of other corporate teams that participated were Gartner, ICICI bank, Parle Products, Barclays, YES bank, Bharat Petroleum and many more.

Mr. Srinivasan HR, Vice Chairman & Vision Holder, TAKE Solutions said, “We have seen a flow of high energy and enthusiasm amongst the participants. It feels great to see how the interest has eventually increased amongst the corporate not only for the sport but also for the tournament. With the successful conclusion of second round, we would like to thank the participating teams and wish good luck to the winning teams for the finals.”

The other finalists who will join the finalists’ league will comprise of winning teams from the regional rounds to be held in Bangalore and New Delhi. The TSWCGC 2010 India finalists will also compete with the finalists from other countries at the World Corporate Golf Challenge to be held in South Africa.
