Kolkata, December 19, 2011 – Winning the Kolkata leg amidst tough competition, four teams made their way to the National Final of the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge. The Kolkata leg of the annual event concluded, at Tollygunge Golf Club on Saturday (December 17, 2011). The winners of the Kolkata qualifiers will be joined by other winning teams from various regional qualifiers yet to be held in Bangalore and Kodaikanal followed by the National Final at Thailand.

McLeod Russel India represented by Asian Games Gold Medallist and Arjuna Awardee Lakshman Singh and Aditya Khaitan took top honours with a team score of 68 points. They were joined by Barclays Wealth comprising of Harmeet Sahney & Mukesh Kapur who scored 66 points for a spot in the National Finals.

Among the other participating corporate teams were Fortune Investors & Traders, Exide Industries, UTI Asset Management, Tata Steel, ITC Limited, Tropicana Exotics, Swiss Re India, Tata Global Beverages, Andrew Yule & Co, HSBC Bank, Phillips Carbon Black Ltd, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Frontline Corporation Ltd, Merino Industries, Bharat Petroleum, DBS Bank, IndusInd Bank and many more.

Mr. Srinivasan HR, Vice Chairman and Vision Holder, TAKE Solutions said, “After receiving the tremendous response for the TAKE Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge - Delhi qualifiers, Kolkata has added up one more shining stone in the crown. I congratulate the teams and wish them luck for the finals.” The other finalists for the National Final in April 2012 will emerge from the southern qualifiers at Kodaikanal Golf Club scheduled on December 29th 2011 followed by the Bangalore qualifiers at Eagleton Golf Resort on January 20th – 21st 2012. The finalists from India along with finalists from other countries will then participate in the World Corporate Golf Challenge to be held in Cape Town, South Africa in May 2012.
