The top two teams from each region met in a National Final held at Aamby Valley on March 2nd 2008.

Now in its twelfth year, the annual World Challenge has 30 countries licensed to be represented at the event, linking together corporate golfers from around the globe through national qualifying events.  The winning team from each country’s qualifying tournaments contests the World Corporate Golf Challenge Final held at the prestigious international championship course at La Manga, Spain.

The previous best finish by an Indian team was in 2007 when the T& T Motors – Mercedes Benz team finished a creditable 5 th of the 25 participating countries.

“After winning the national finals in India in March we knew we could do this. We fired three birdies on the final hole to clinch the title which was amazing. The entire team played solid golf and you see the results. This will remain our most memorable golf experience of my lifetime” said Puneet Matta of team Credit Suisse after winning the tournament.

“It is extremely heartening to know that an Indian team has emerged victorious after nine years. The wait has been long but sweet. When I saw them play during the national rounds I knew that this team had the chance to make it. This is a good start and hopefully we will have more teams who bring us this trophy year after year. I congratulate the winners once again” said Mr. Srinivasan HR., Vice-Chairman and Vision Holder TAKE Solutions.
